Jess uses recycled and re-purposed materials to build puppets large and small, she believes that using non-traditional materials for creating art can inspire imagination and ignite creativity by encouraging out of the box thinking while increasing conscientiousness of waste. Jess frequently visits festivals with larger than life Parade style puppets who add an animated ambiance where ever they appear. She also offers workshops for small class groups on building subject specific puppets or props like Calacas (Skeletons) for Dias De Los Muertos or Carnival Masks for Carnival and Mardis Gras studies.
