about jess!

Jess grew up in the small town nestled amongst the rolling hills of the SC Piedmont. Born into a family of readers and natural storytellers her earliest memories are the voices of family telling everything from tall tales and ghost stories to family folklore. Amazed by the life of the stories as they leapt from her family’s lips she launched her life as a storyteller in Preschool with the smashing classic The Little Red Hen. Refining interests and skills through the years with lots of listening, studying the arts, and plenty of practice Jess loves sharing the magic of stories with audiences of all ages.

Jess now lives in Florence SC with her longtime love and their three cats in a tiny house with a secret garden. She engages in her community through volunteering at and serving on the board for her local farmers market, creating local storytelling events, and working with the Francis Marion University Theatre Department.
