A Dicken's of a Tale: Facets of Humanity

Happy Holidays! During this time of year we are meant to be jolly and the halls are decked with holly but sometimes we are more likely to deck each other. It’s the season when we often feel a bit pinched for time, money, and patience…yet people find it in themselves to do some pretty amazing things all the same. Join us, and our guest storyteller Vixi Jill Glen (she’s Jacks daughter you know), and be regaled with tales of old that still have lessons in the here and now. If you are feeling festive why not put your name in the hat for a chance to share a 5 min tale? What facets of humanity great and small have you seen during the holiday season? What whoppers have plopped onto your holiday table? Friends and family always bring the best stories!

National Storytelling Festival

“. . . now in its 47th year and acclaimed as one of the Top 100 Events in North America, sparked a renaissance of storytelling across the country. To spearhead that revival, Smith and a few other story lovers founded the National Storytelling Association. The founding organization became the center of an ever-widening movement that continues to gain momentum to this day. Storytelling organizations, festivals, and educational events have popped up all over the world. Teachers, healthcare workers, therapists, corporate executives, librarians, spiritual leaders, parents, and others regularly make storytelling a vibrant part of their everyday lives and work.”
