Jess is an SC homegrown spoken word and visual artist with a big mouth and a bigger imagination. She builds dreams out of words, rhythm, and recycled and re-purposed materials. Whether parading with a puppet or pulling your leg with a tall tale Jess is proud to share the magic of storytelling and the joy of creation with you.
Jessica grew up in the small town of Saluda nestled amongst the rolling hills of the SC Piedmont. Born into a family of readers and natural storytellers her earliest memories are the voices of family telling everything from tall tales and ghost stories to family folklore.
Jess’s stories range from classic mythology and folklore, to true life tales of personal hilarity, to original works of fiction.
Jess uses recycled and re-purposed materials to build puppets large and small . . .
